As with every Lions Club, glasses are provided for those who need, but cannot afford them. The Ruidoso Evening Lions Club works with Family Vision Center to insure everyone in our community who needs glasses can get them.

The Ruidoso Evening Lions is the organization that puts American Flags out throughout Ruidoso and Ruidoso Downs on seven national holidays and on special occasions. There are currently over 200 businesses and organizations that donate $30.00 to the Evening Lions each year to support this project. Each Mother's Day roses are delivered to businesses and individuals by members of the Evening Lions Club.

The David Hira Magic Show each July 4th weekend at the First Christian Church on Hull Road, near the Gavilan Canyon Road intersection, is a 20+ year old tradition. Businesses sponsor the event by purchasing tickets which are then given to children, and adults, to attend the show. No one is ever turned away from attending this fun event.
